As a child Nicky spent her weekends and summers at her grandparents farm, and it was there that her love of animals began.

Now Nicky paints from her studio in the picturesque village of Hurst Green in the Ribble Valley, and can often be found out-and-about sketching with her companion, Max the dog, by her side.

With lively use of line and colour Nicky produces delightful contemporary animal art full of character and charm. Her traditional subject matter are hares, foxes and livestock, which she creates mainly in pastel.
